The Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act, 2016 is implemented in Haryana through the Haryana Real Estate Regulatory Authority (HRERA), covering separate benches for Gurugram and Panchkula. Any project above the notified size threshold must be registered with HRERA before it can be marketed or sold.
As a buyer, always ask for the project's RERA registration number and verify it independently on the official HRERA website rather than taking a broker's word for it. The registration page will show the promoter's details, sanctioned layout, and expected completion date.
For resale/ready properties, RERA registration confirms the original project was compliant, though you should still do your own title and dues verification before purchase.
